Questions, answered

Everything people ask before their first song.

How does Melodo make a song?

You describe what the song should be about, choose a style, and an AI music model composes the melody, writes and sings the lyrics, and produces the full track. A second model draws the cover. It takes about a minute.

Is my first song really free?

Yes. Every new account gets enough credits for one song, no card required.

Can I use my own lyrics?

Yes. Switch to “My lyrics” and paste your words. Mark sections like [Verse] and [Chorus] if you want to control the structure.

Which languages can the vocals be in?

More than 40, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Hindi and Chinese. The song’s language is separate from the site’s, so you can write in one and have it sung in another.

Can I use the songs commercially?

Yes. The songs you make are yours to use for any purpose, personal or commercial — share them, gift them, play them at events, put them in your videos or release them on streaming services. Because they are made by AI, they are not exclusive to you and copyright protection is not guaranteed; our Terms of Use have the details.
