For someone in hospital, recovering at home or just stuck in bed: a gentle song with their name that says we're thinking of you, and we'll be here when you're back.

Being unwell is lonely in a particular way. Visits are short, the days are long and the phone fills with messages that all say the same thing. A song with their name in it is different: they can play it from a hospital bed with headphones on, at three in the morning, as many times as they like — and it asks nothing of them.
All it takes is who it is for, what they love, who is missing them and one plan that is waiting for when they are well. From that, AI writes the lyrics, composes a calm melody and sings it with real vocals in about a minute. “A calm, warm get well soon song for my dad David, recovering at home after a knee operation. He misses his vegetable garden, especially his tomatoes, and his Saturday walks with our dog Rufus. The grandkids, Mia and Oscar, have drawn him pictures. When he's better we're going back to the lake for fishing. Soft acoustic guitar, gentle male voice, chorus “get well soon, David, we love you so”.”
Their name, and the nickname friends use — it sounds like home in a hospital room.
The people missing them: the grandchildren, the team at work, the dog sitting by the door.
A plan waiting for them: the fishing trip, the Sunday roast, the concert in June. Something to look forward to helps.
Their strength, mentioned lightly: “you've beaten tougher days than this”.
Everyday life going on without fuss: the garden's growing, the kids are fine, nothing needs them right now except getting better.
A shared joke or memory, if they're up for a smile.
Comfort rather than medical details. Leave out the diagnosis, the surgery and the numbers — the song is about them, not the illness.
Rest easy, David, take it slow,
the garden's waiting where the tomatoes grow,
we'll save your chair, we'll keep the porch light aglow —
get well soon, we love you so.
The right song depends on how serious things are. For a broken leg or a bad flu, a light, cheerful song with a bit of teasing is perfect — the cast, the daytime TV, the friends doing their chores. For a long illness or a hard recovery, choose something calm and warm, with no jokes about their condition and no promises about how it will turn out; say you are with them instead. Avoid phrases like “fight” or “beat it” if you are unsure how they feel about them — comfort and company are always safe.
Names, memories, the mood you want. Skip anything you like.

It can be, if it is gentle. Focus on love, memories and the people around them, leave out medical details, and choose a calm acoustic or piano style. When in doubt, ask a close family member first.
Yes, but think about timing: the evening before can feel like a hug, while the morning itself is often busy and anxious. You can also send it as a gift sealed until a date you choose, such as the day they are due home.
Yes. Ask for a playful children's style and mention their favourite animal, toy or character; their name goes into the chorus.
It can be, if it asks nothing of them. Leave out reasons and labels, say you are there without expecting a reply, and choose a calm style — a song can be easier to receive than a phone call.
With a subscription you can turn the song into a lyric video with your own photos as a slideshow; without one, the video uses the song's cover art.
